About Carla

Motivated and detail-oriented soon to be graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Photography, specialising in medium format colour photography. As a visual artist and photographer my work explores the emotional resonance of family, memory, and identity. Grounded in documentary practices and with a deep sensitivity to storytelling, my work captures the quiet intimacy of everyday life while challenging traditional representations of the domestic. Drawing attention to the unseen, the overlooked, and the marginal. I invite viewers to consider how we construct belonging, and what it means to archive love, loss, and connection in contemporary life.

Alongside my practice, I enjoy gig/band photography, capturing the energy, atmosphere, and raw emotion of live music. My approach and eye for detail allows me to document performances in a way that feels both immersive and ‘authentic’. Whether working in intimate venues or on larger stages and with the musician(s), I bring the same care and creativity to music photography as I do to my other works.

Exceptional communication skills and a strong work ethic developed through practical experience. Eager to leverage creative problem-solving, visual communication, and project management abilities to contribute to success in my photographic practice.
